Engaging stakeholders in the Sea For Society project!
The Sea For Society project participated at the 2nd Edition of the Congress “Âncora” under the theme “O Mar com os pés assentes na Terra” organized by the Portuguese Business Forum for the Sea Economy (FEEM - Forum Empresarial da Economia do Mar) through its partner Ciência Viva.

 

  

 

The 2nd Edition of the Congress “Âncora” organized by the Portuguese Business Forum for the Sea Economy (FEEM - Forum Empresarial da Economia do Mar) took place on November 14th in Lisbon, Portugal. The conference jointed around 800 stakeholders from the marine sector in Portugal and aimed to raise awareness of to the relevance of the Sea to the Portuguese Economy.

The Sea For Society (SFS) Project was present at this relevant congress through its partner Ciência Viva. Apart from a stand at the conference, the Sea For Society project was presented to the Portuguese stakeholders in a parallel session of the congress by Ana Noronha (Executive-Director of Ciência Viva; SFS project partner), Ramiro Neves (Researcher at MARETEC-IST; SFS project partner) and Margarida Suaréz (Project Officer of Ciência Viva; SFS project partner).

 

SFS presentation under the theme “Maritime Transport and Tourism: Future Solutions” (“Transportes e Turismo marítimos: soluções de futuro”) at the 2nd Edition of the Congress “Âncora”, Portugal

 

The project partners presented the SFS project and the main results from the two consultation forums with stakeholders under the themes “Transports” and “Tourism and Leisure” that took place as a side event of the “Âncora” congress on November 12th and 13th 2013, in a presentation entitled “Maritime Transport and Tourism: Future Solutions” (“Transportes e Turismo marítimos: soluções de futuro”).
