Sea For Society Pre-Consensus Workshop – a successful meeting in Ostend
The 4th Consortium Meeting of the Sea For Society (SFS) project took place at the Flanders Marine Institute (VLIZ) (Ostend, Belgium) on 16 and 17th June, 2014.

The SFS Consortium got together in Ostend, Belgium on June 16th and 17th for its 4th Consortium Meeting, also known as the Pre-Consensus Workshop meeting. The meeting was held and hosted by the SFS Third party Flanders Marine Institute (VLIZ).

After a first successful day (see related news) where the results of the dialogue sessions were presented to the consortium partners the consortium moved forward and started discussing ideas and possible mobilization activities to be developed at the next phase of the project. The high participation of SFS partners and third parties at the meeting together with the excellent and promising ideas discussed will certainly empower European actors on societal issues related to the Ocean.

The mobilisation phase of the project will start with the selection of the cross-cutting challenge. The cross-cutting challenge, that will be subject of mobilisation actions, will be discussed at the Consensus Workshop that is expected to take place in September 2014 in Brussels.
