The EC has launched a public consultation in one of the themes analysed under the SFS Consultation forums, Food Supply. All citizens and organisations can contribute to this consultation.

The EC launched at the end of June 2014 a public consultation in one of the themes analysed under the SFS Consultation forums, Food Supply. The public consultation is called “Fishing opportunities for 2015 under the Common Fisheries Policy” and targets all citizens and organisations.

Contributions are particularly sought from citizens and organisations with links to, or interests in fish or fisheries and the coastal and marine environment.

The public consultation is opened from 26.06.2014 to 30.09.2014 and it aims to allow all European citizens to express an opinion on the way in which levels of fishing effort and fishing quotas are set according to the new Common Fisheries Policy and in relation to scientific advice about sustainable fishing.

More information about the public consultation and on how to sublit your contribution can be found here.
