Blue Society Expert Group gets ready for its second meeting towards the definition of the Blue Society concept on March 13th 2014.

Following the successful 1st Blue Society Expert Group meeting on September 23rd 2013, the Group has been quite active under the coordination of IUCN, WP5 Leader. In order to gain input from the Blue Society Expert Group regarding the definition of the Blue Society vision, a survey was sent to the members of the group in November.

The results from the survey will be discussed during the next meeting that will take place on March 13th 2014. At this meeting the Group will also discuss the preliminary results of the Sea for Society consultations under analysis by Dr. Mike Hogan, Dr. Christine Domegan and Michelle Devaney of NUIG, assisted by Marzia Mazzonetto of ECSITE, Joanna Piwowarczyk of IOPAN and Dr. John Joyce of AquaTT.

Plenty of debate and discussion is expected, as was the case for the first meeting, that should lead to a clearer direction concerning the definition of the Blue Society concept.
