Sea For Society at the 2014 Researchers’ Night in Israel - a night dedicated to the Ocean!
This year's Researchers’ Night in Israel was dedicated to the Ocean and had a strong focus on the Sea for Society project.

MadaTech, Sea For Society (SFS) Associated Partner, was the national coordinator of the 2014 Researchers’ Night at Israel, dedicated to the theme of Sea Science, which took place on 18 September.

The Researchers’ Night’s programme involved activities at research institutions and universities all over Israel. These included lectures, demonstrations, sea activities, free access to all museum exhibitions, with special emphasis on “The Ships and the Sea” exhibition, Science Caffes – encounters with scientists and sea men, and Fun Activities.

The MadaTech museum hosted several activities, namely lectures and demonstrations, all related to ocean issues. The Researchers’ Night provided an excellent opportunity for disseminating the SFS project, which was present at several events.

Dissemination of the SFS project took place at the general public level but also at political level with the presentation of the project by Dr. Tal Berman to the EU Ambassador to Israel and to the Israel’s Minister of Science, Technology and Space.
