Sea For Society at the Galway Science & Technology Festival
Sea For Society, through its partner Marine Institute, recently took part in the Galway Science and Technology Festival promoting the project and Ireland’s marine resource.

On Sunday last 23rd November the Sea For Society (SFS) project was present at the Galway Science and Technology Festival, Ireland. The one-day exhibition was held at the National University of Ireland Galway and attracted over 20,000 visitors.

At the festival the Marine Institute, SFS partner, and Galway Atlantaquaria promoted Ireland’s marine resource through both the Sea for Society video, highlighting the importance of ocean science and the Real Map of Ireland materials available online from www.marine.ie.

The great interest shown by the festival participants on ocean issues and on the Blue Society vision show the relevance of the SFS project that will have its next meeting in Lisbon on December 16th and 17th 2014 to prepare the mobilization activities that will further empower citizens on ocean related issues.
